Il dialogo tra sapere della fede e sapere della scienza: a che punto siamo?

Utilizzando la riflessione del teologo T. Peters, l’autore presenta i principali modelli che nei secoli sono stati utilizzati per descrivere i rapporti tra scienza e fede/teologia. Tra i modelli più recenti quello della teologia della natura risulta il più adatto per un dialogo integrativo tra i due saperi grazie alla mediazione filosofica. A tal proposito, applicando il metodo trascendentale di B. Lonergan, in particolare il suo metodo dialettico e la «metafisica interdisciplinare», emerge come la filosofia sia lo strumento indispensabile per un dialogo epistemologicamente corretto tra il sapere scientifico e quello teologico, superando antiche e nuove contrapposizioni.

Summary - The dialogue between the knowledge of faith and the knowledge of science: where do we stand? 

Using the reflection of the theologian T. Peters, the Author presents the main models that over the centuries have been used to describe the relationships between science and faith/theology. Among the most recent models, that of Natural Theology is the most suitable for an integrative dialogue between the two forms of knowledge thanks to philosophical mediation. In this regard, by applying B. Lonergan’s transcendental method, in particular his dialectical method and “interdisciplinary metaphysics”, it emerges that philosophy is the indispensable tool for an epistemologically correct dialogue between scientific and theological knowledge, going beyond ancient and new contrasts.
